While we’re at it…

Jaro Halak – he’s been quietly minding his own business as a backup for the last few years, and has come off the bench to provide some solid play – solid enough to get the fans behind him and call for starts over Carey Price.
So he’s got some worth – but where would he go, [...]

You’re not ready…

Apparently Scotty Gomez, my Habanero homeboy who I’m proud to have represent me as a Habs Hispanic on h’ice, had a short interview with TSN about the upcoming season and his current preparations. The usual comments were given, as to be expected by every new player that winds up in Montreal:

Oh No, Racicot…

How many times did you utter those words when St. Patrick was given the night off for some well-deserved rest, and this soup-can lumbered towards the goal at the start of a game.

I do. All too vividly. When the Habs were defeated in 6 games to an upstart Flames [...]

Back in the day…

Everyone has a story as to how they end up cheering for their favourite sports team. Today, I’m going to tell you how I came to be a fan of the Montreal Canadiens at the tender age of 6. I haven’t looked back since – and over a quarter century later, I’m still as passionate [...]

Its here, its new, and its different

Welcome to St. Patrick’s Poutine (SPP). This little column will end up housing most of my commentaries on all things related to the Montreal Canadiens, both past and present. Don’t expect any breaking news, or analysis or anything extremely insightful. You can expect some biased opinion, some ridiculous claims, and all journalistic integrity thrown out [...]
