Seriously folks – the rumor talk surrounding Vinny Lecvalier’s jump to Montreal is ridiculous. If we were in the mood to go out and get a top-10 power-forward, we wouldn’t have overpaid for the services of on Scott Gomez. File this one in the ‘Finished’ drawer, boys. This case is closed.

I think Chase missed the sarcasm and real statement made in this blog post.
And what the fuck is kicking a dead cat? You don’t make the saying anymore creative by changing the animal.
Chase is dumber than a second coat of paint.
You’d be surprised how many people STILL talk about Lecavalier as a possibility. It was the same thing with Briere a few years back. It wasn’t until Briere’s agent said he will never come to Montreal that fans turned their attention away from keeping the rumors going.
Any French Canadian player will always be a possibility for the lineup. After all, they’re SUPPOSED to be Montreal’s players only.
Except the Leafs, who feel they have the inside track on everyone.
